Excellent experience, meals of culinary quality, a bit on the sweet side for our palate, but that seems to be the case for all authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I'll recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
We got a fixed 3-course dinner for dining week, which includes starters and main with several small dishes both with fish and meat.
As I had t mentioned before I ate fish but not meat the owner was willing to ask the kitchen to make changes, although the menus was set, but my husband and I ended up swapping meat ...

As I had t mentioned before I ate fish but not meat the owner was willing to ask the kitchen to make changes, although the menus was set, but my husband and I ended up swapping meat and fish and it worked perfect. Very kind service of the owner!
And the food was delicious from start to end! We will happily return

About Yen
Cuisine: Vietnamese
Restaurant Yen is founded in Brussels.
The sobriety and discretion of the signboard might be dubious. Is this an art gallery or one of the most refined Vietnamese restaurants in Brussels? The last supposition is the right one, and it is quite possible that owner Hanh Nguyen starts exhibiting the art works of his friends (painters, sculptors, photographers) in a special room of his restaurant. As to his opinion these works of art perfectly fit in with the refined dishes of his wife Nguyen Thi Thu Hong. She already won her spurs in the kitchen of the best hotels of Saigon.
Original names and jewels as far as flavour, aroma and presentation are concerned, appeal to one’s imagination: ‘Chinese rose’ (steamed pasta filled with beans), ‘sacred flame beef’ (beef flambé with lemon grass), ‘the mandarins’ gift’ (grilled duck with prunes sauce), ‘diamon of Saigon’ (sweet and sour pork coated with breadcrumbs, leek and pineapple), and multiple specialties, as well as vegetarian dishes. You can enjoy all these delicacies in a setting of rude materials (concrete and steel) with warm soft tones, creating a peaceful atmosphere perfectly right to degustate refined food. On top of that Yen offers the luxury of spacious seats, so that you will not sit on top of your neighbour and you can concentrate on the pleasures of wining and dining. We look forward to welcome the gourmets who love natural and refined flavours!
