Read full reviewThe atmosphere is lovely, the food is very good. It's more traditional than creative, but there is certainly a special place in the world for very good traditional cuisine. Our only issue with dinner was a very long wait at the beginning: After being seated, we were left for 30 minutes at the table with a wine list, no food or drink, and no idea what our 6-course set menu would be as this dinner was booked via the Dining With the Stars program. Since we didn't know what our meal would be, we couldn't choose a wine anyway. Hungry, we finally flagged down a waiter to ask what we would be served. It was a very poor beginning to an otherwise good meal. (The comparison was particularly bad as we'd had outstanding service the day before at Dôme which began with a printed Dining With the Stars menu ready at the table, followed immediately by an included coupe de champagne and several amuse bouches.) Also, the "sixth course" (an addition to the usual 5-course meal especially for Dining With the Stars) was a scoop of gooseberry sorbet in a mint liqueur, not particularly good and no more than a palate cleanser really; it felt like a disappointing dodge from a restaurant of the caliber of Huis de Colvenier. The highlights of the meal were excellent lamb chops and a generous cheese course chosen from a truly impressive cheese cart.
Wij hebben super lekker gegeten. Vooraf eerst een aperitief genomen in de super knappe en gezellige kelder. Een echte aanrader.
Spijtig dat we alleen in de kelder waren .Het eten was buiten de vissoep maar matig van smaak.
